
HISTORY OF PROFESSIONALISM…..
Stacey Samuels Cole joined the Hearing Professionals family in 2007 as Director of Audiology where she oversees the clinical operations at our four locations. Mrs. Cole previously worked as Director of Audiology in the Division of Surgery/Otolaryngology at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. She also served as supervisor of the Washington DC Neonatal Hearing Program and on the District of Columbia Hearing Advisory Board for two years. Mrs. Cole has taught college-level audiology courses at the University of the District of Columbia and Howard University Medical Center, and supervises doctoral audiology students on the various clinical and physiological aspects of audiology.
EDUCATION IS KEY….
Stacey Samuels Cole currently holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Pharmacology and Rehabilitation Science from Xavier University of Louisiana and Louisiana State University Medical Center respectively. She has also obtained a Master’s of Science and subsequently a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Rehabilitation Science with a concentration in geriatric clinical health issues. Stacey relocated to Maryland in 1997 to pursue studies in Audiology at the University of Maryland College Park, receiving her Masters of Arts degree in 2002. Mrs. Stacey Samuels Cole currently holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) and is state licensed. Professional memberships include: the American Speech and Hearing Language Association (ASHA), the International Hearing Society (IHS), and the American Academy of Audiology (Fellow-AAA).
Mrs. Cole is currently completing work on her dissertation at the University of Maryland College Park toward the completion of a dual Doctor of Audiology (AuD)/Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. Her research concentration is on the impact of cognition (working memory) and hearing loss on speech perception in the geriatric population.
THE ULTIMATE GOAL…..
As Director of Audiology at Hearing Professionals, Inc., Stacey’s goal is to improve her patient’s quality of life through the provision of excellent hearing and balance healthcare. She insures her ability to provide the best clinical services to her patients by maintaining cutting-edge knowledge of auditory/vestibular methodology. Her areas of expertise include audiological rehabilitation (i.e. hearing aids/amplification systems) and vestibular/balance testing and rehabilitation.
As the daughter of a two-time breast cancer survivor, Mrs. Cole is dedicated to the area of Ototoxic audiological/vestibular (balance) monitoring of cancer patients. She is currently spear-heading an Ototoxicity Monitoring Program designed to serve the audiological and balance needs and care of cancer patients.

Mrs. Stacey Samuels Cole is dedicated to the provision of excellent hearing/balance healthcare. It is important to her that each patient is educated on their hearing/balance status and utilize this information to determine the best course of individualized treatment. Stacey resides with her husband and daughter in Ellicott City, Maryland. She enjoys white-water rafting, traveling, furniture restoration, and most of all gardening.
